Jackie Hunt was appointed Chief Executive, Prudential UK & Europe in September 2013. Jackie joined Prudential from Standard Life where she was Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, Jackie held a number of senior financial management positions in companies including Norwich Union Insurance, Aviva, Hibernian Group, Royal & Sun Alliance and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jackie is a Non-Executive Director of National Express Group plc and was formerly Chair of the Association of British Insurers' Prudential Financial and Taxation Committee.
John was appointed as the Managing Director of Retail Life & Pensions in May 2013.
John joined Prudential in July 2010 as a Product Director and led a number of important initiatives in the business, such as sponsorship of the Retail Distribution Review Programme and development of our with-profits proposition to maintain its market leading position. He has also contributed significantly to making Prudential UK & Europe a great place to work, as an active member of the Engagement Board.
John has over 30 years' experience in financial services and before joining Prudential he held several senior management positions in Halifax, HBoS and the Lloyds Banking Group. Prior to that he worked in intermediary sales, as an IFA, and in pensions operations for Commercial Union among other companies.
Aki was appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2013, having been on the Board of the Prudential Assurance Company Limited since March 2012. In addition, Aki has been the Business Representative for UK & Europe in the Group CEO Office since he joined Prudential plc in July 2009.
Aki has held a number of senior roles in Financial Services and Telecoms & Media sectors. Most recently he was Finance Director for the Consumer Bank division at Lloyds Banking Group until June 2009, and prior to that he was Finance Director for the Consumer division of ntl (now Virgin Media) until June 2006. Whilst at ntl, his responsibilities from time to time included operational aspects of the business including Call Centre management, Complaints department, IT and Procurement.
Aki is a chartered accountant with 14 years' experience, having qualified with KPMG.
Cathy Lewis was appointed HR Director - Prudential UK & Europe in 2009.
Prior to joining, Cathy spent several years in financial services, firstly as the Group HR Director for Co-operative Financial Services and prior to this Group Reward Director for Abbey Plc (now Santander UK), and more recently Group HR Director for Co-operative Financial Services. Cathy's previous roles also include Group Head of Leadership & Talent for BAA plc, and HR Director Gatwick Airport. Her early career was in various HR roles in the retail sector.
Tulsi was appointed to the Executive Committee as Operations Director in January 2010 with responsibility for Customer Service, Information Technology and Business Change. Tulsi is also responsible for Prudential's India captive BPO organisation, PPMS.
Tulsi joined Prudential in February 2002 in Corporate Development where she worked on a variety of strategic projects including bulk acquisitions from other insurers. She has since held a number of senior management roles within Prudential including Director of Mature Life and Pensions, Direct Distribution Director and Corporate Pensions Director.
Tulsi has previously worked with CSFB, Arthur Andersen and ICICI Bank. She holds an MBA and a BA in Mathematics.
David Belsham has been the Actuarial Function Holder/Appointed Actuary of Prudential plc's UK life assurance companies since 1998.
In this role, David's responsibility is to ensure that Prudential UK's long term insurance business is operated on sound financial lines and with regard to policyholders' reasonable expectations.
David joined Prudential as an Actuarial trainee in 1983, and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1988. He has worked in a wide range of Actuarial functions covering valuation, systems development, product development, general insurance, management reporting, and mergers and acquisitions. David was Chief Actuary of the company's direct sales force division from 1992 to 1995, and has been Chief Actuary of the UK division since 1995.
John has been the Director of Investments at Prudential's Portfolio Management Group (PMG) since 2001.
John is responsible for the investment strategy for Prudential UK's internal funds and the development of exposures to newer asset classes such as hedge funds and private equity strategies within Prudential. He also oversees Prudential's internal and external asset managers and the performance of their portfolios.
John has been at Prudential in a variety of investment roles since 1982 covering equity, economic research and asset allocation.
He graduated from the Queen's College, Oxford in 1980 with a BA honours degree in Modern History and the Manchester Business School, where he gained an MBA.
Marcia joined Prudential in June 2009 as Chief Risk Officer with overall responsibility for enterprise risk management covering financial and non-financial risks for UK & Europe.Prior to Prudential, she was President & CEO of the European Mortgage Insurance business for Genworth Financial. Marcia spent nearly 16 years at GE Capital where she held senior management roles in risk management, product management, capital markets and insurance including as CEO of a US based employee benefits insurance business selling life, disability, and medical insurance.
Marcia began her career at Mellon Bank where she was trained in credit and cash management and held senior corporate banking and credit risk management positions before joining GE Capital in 1989.
Guy Dunlop has been Head of UKIO Legal & Company Secretariat since November 2010. He joined Prudential from the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. Prior to that he worked for Genworth Financial Mortgage Insurance and Clifford Chance LLP, where he was a senior associate. At both Freshfields and Clifford Chance, Guy specialised in corporate insurance M&A transactional work and latterly more regulatory advisory work, particularly in the life sector.
Guy is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and as an Attorney in South Africa. Guy trained in South Africa before relocating to London in 1999 to join Clifford Chance.
