Financial Capability Programme
The programme is intended to help address poor levels of financial capability across the UK, helping people become more informed about their financial needs and building the long-term capacity of community organisations to provide financial education. We work in partnership with existing, trusted, organisations who can deliver front-line training to adults and children.

The organisations we work with are:
Citizens Advice
Prudential has worked with CAB since 2002, helping them to develop the capacity of Citizens Advice Bureaux across England to offer financial education services. We fund their central Financial Capability Team and we are also their key partner on their Financial Skills for Life programme.
Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT)
Prudential has supported SSAT in the development of an interactive schools resource, which teaches financial capability and its functional application. The resource, 'Adding Up to a Lifetime' has been used in English schools since late 2006. Adapted versions have also been produced for Scotland, which have been disseminated by Learning and Teaching Scotland, and for Northern Ireland, disseminated by CEEA.
Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg)
We have being working with pfeg since 2001. Our support has allowed pfeg to maintain and develop its Quality Mark accreditation system for financial capability teaching resources.
National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE)
Prudential has worked with NIACE since 2003, collaborating on a variety of initiatives including the delivery of an online learning resource for adults and funding the position of a Research Fellow in Financial Education.
Financial Services Authority (FSA)
Prudential helped develop the FSA's financial capability strategy and has a seat on the FSA's Young People Steering Group.
