Prudential employee benefits

At Prudential, we believe that pay should be linked to performance, and that employees who excel should achieve higher rewards.  We offer a comprehensive reward package that is both competitive and flexible.

Salary and bonus

We believe that your contribution to the success of the business should be reflected in your pay, both fixed and variable. The annual salary and bonus review is an opportunity to maintain a competitive pay by aligning it to the market and to also reward your contribution.

Flexible benefits

Our award-winning 'You Choose' scheme is a flexible benefits package which enables you to select the benefits that are most suitable for you. You will receive a 'flex fund' equivalent to 10% of your salary on joining, which you can use to select an appropriate benefits package for you and your family.  The only mandatory element is you must select at least 20 days holiday from your flex fund.

You can also select from the range of benefits below, and depending on your holiday choice this may be covered by your flex fund, or from salary:

  • Up to 33 days annual leave.
  • Childcare vouchers.
  • Critical illness insurance.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Dental insurance.
  • Healthcare cash plan.
  • Holiday entitlement - you must select a minimum of 20 days, but can choose to buy up to 33 days a year (in addition to eight statutory holidays).
  • Holiday vouchers.
  • Leisure vouchers.
  • Personal accident insurance.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Retail vouchers.
Other benefits
  • Public transport - get an interest-free season ticket loan that you can re-pay through your salary over one year.
  • Car schemes - all employees in the UK have the opportunity to buy their own new or used car at very competitive prices. A company car may also be available for certain roles/levels.

Employee share purchase plans

Employees have the opportunity to become a stakeholder in Prudential through the Save As You Earn (SAYE) scheme, and the Share Incentive Plan (SIP).

Retirement savings and life insurance

As members, employees will start to build up a pension from their first day of employment and will be covered for lump sum and pension death benefits.

  • 'DC Section' - our Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (also known as a Money Purchase Scheme) offers core credits that are made by the company at 6% of your base salary.
  • Employees are given the option to add their own contributions, and receive matching contributions - up to an additional 6% - by the company.
  • This means that if an employee contributes 6% in addition to the core credits, they will have a monthly contribution of 18%.
