A new film by the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) puts pensions in the spotlight for 15 minutes.

The quarter-hour online film is intended to allow employers to educate their staff about pensions by placing the multimedia element onto their intranets.

Joanne Segars, Chief Executive of NAPF, commented: "Our new film will help people catch the savings bug so that they have a better chance of a secure and enjoyable retirement."

"We hope it will have a significant impact," she added, by altering people's approach towards their retirement savings.

The film, entitled the Long Weekend, can be tailored to contain details of individual companies' pension schemes and has been created in response to the issue of millions of UK workers having no private pensions set up.

NAPF describes the multimedia project as "a breath of fresh air" that contains both optimism and a lightness of touch to help raise awareness of pensions among its audience.
