Topic: Tax

Last month saw a number of consumers search for independent financial advisers (IFAs) to help them with retirement planning issues, new figures have shown.

Unbiased.co.uk has found that 36% of people were looking for advice about this topic during June.

Meanwhile, taxation planning guidance was searched for by 7% of consumers using the website during the four-week period, it has been revealed, with 25% aiming to find advisers that could help them with issues relating to savings and investments.

The professional advice site's Chief Executive Karen Barrett has noted that tax changes are among the factors that could affect people in the future.

She stated: "Changes to pensions and tax levels will have important consequences for those impacted, and it is vital for everyone to understand if and how this will affect them."

Earlier in the month, Ms Barrett also suggested how IFAs could help those who have queries regarding financial products like mortgages.
