We cover more conditions
With our Serious Illness Cover, the Comprehensive Plan covers 154 conditions, whilst our Primary Plan covers 93. Traditional critical illness policies limit the number of listed illnesses and conditions to around 27, whereas we include a range of common conditions that are unique to our policy.
We could pay out more often
Our Serious Illness Cover pays out based on the severity of your illness. This means you could receive a payment earlier on in your illness, even if it's not life threatening.
You can also make multiple claims, and receive more than one pay out, if your condition gets worse of you suffer a different illness.
Top up your cover after a claim
You can add the Minimum Protection Account feature which tops up your Life or Serious Illness Cover immediately after a Serious Illness Cover claim is paid. And unlike competitors' buy-back options, there is no change to your premium when your cover is topped up, plus no further underwriting is required.
Add extra options to your plan
For added peace of mind and financial security you can choose to include additional options to your policy including Disability Cover and Unemployment Cover (provided by St Andrews) and Optional Serious Illness Cover for Children (in addition to what is provided with our PruProtect Plan Serious Illness Cover). You can add or remove these benefits from your plan at any time to suit your lifestyle.
